December 18th - 22nd It has been a very exciting week in grade four! The students did some excellent learning and also had fun performing at the concert and participating in the spirit week. Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the concert. The students did a fantastic job in the afternoon and evening concerts! Happy Holidays to all of you! I hope you have a happy, safe, and healthy winter break! I look forward to seeing the students back on January 8th. December 11th - 15th Thank You Thank you to our amazing volunteers who were able to join us on the field trip to Fort Calgary. It was a fantastic trip where students learned a lot and had a great time. Learning Outcomes - Social Studies I can recognize how stories of people and events provide multiple perspectives on past and present events. I can demonstrate respect for places and objects of historical significance. I can think about the stories of Indigenous people and what these tell us about their beliefs regarding the relationship between people and the land? What Did Students Do? The grade fours went on an exciting field trip to Fort Calgary. They started the day by looking at a model of the layers of soil and the interesting things you would find in each layer. They discussed what each item meant in regards to our historical timeline. Then they discussed the similarities and differences between paleontology and archaeology.
