English Language Arts
Students have been listening to the novel Wonder and practicing different comprehension strategies. This week, they focused on making predictions. They drew and wrote their predictions at a very engaging part of the story. Then, we continued reading and students discussed if their prediction happened or not!
- I can make predictions and then revise or confirm them based on new information in texts.

Math
Students continued their work to discover the Greedy Gnome. They interpreted information in a variety of graphs, including bar graphs, dot plots, pie graphs, and pictographs. They also collected data and represented it in their own graphs, selecting an appropriate scale.

Questions: What does "scale" mean in a graph?
What does "how many more" mean in a graphing question? What about "altogether"?

PE
Students participated in Alien Inline Skating three times over the past two weeks and they were fantastic! They worked so hard and really improved. They had so much fun! The grade fours also supported their Kinder buddies to put their equipment on and develop skills. They were wonderful role models and helpers.
